Sweet Essence

I recently discovered a world of food styling on Instagram and have been inspired whilst exploring tasty images from across the globe. I’m pretty sure many of these snaps have enticed #foodies to experiment and create culinary delights of their own.

So sharing the Instagram love, the cover photo above is a Blueberry Crisp Tart with Oatmeal Crust from the uber creative ‘Bakerita’. Yummy! And below are two photos of cute cream puffs created by ‘Sweet Essence’ from Australia. This baker is only 17 years old, so its exciting to see how she’ll continue to progress over the next year or so.


With extra time on my hands over the half term break, and inspired by the cream puffs, we had a go at making and decorating our own spooky batch for Halloween. The outcome was a long way from professional baking standards, but we had lots of fun and will no doubt try again.
