I recently came across a video which profiled a school that uses meditation and mindfulness to help children understand their behaviour. Mindfulness tools and adult support empowers children to self-reflect, mindfully move their bodies, self-regulate and connect with their breathing. This enables kids to think about making more informed choices, and move forward with a mindful outlook.
The video shows that the power of using mindfulness effectively is having a ripple effect, and continues to provide benefits for children’s learning and emotional/mental well-being.
Lets hope meditation and mindfulness continues to be a widespread phenomenon within school communities and beyond!
